East Tennessee veterans will have an opportunity to connect with employers seeking their particular set of skills on January 27 when the Tennessee Veterans Business Association presents its fifth annual Business and Education Expo at the Knoxville Convention Center.
In addition to the job fair, the event will feature about 145 exhibitors for a business-to-business expo open to all companies, including non-veteran businesses.
Veterans are also invited to come learn about education opportunities and business startup assistance.
The event, which coincides with Veteran-owned Business Week, kicks off with a networking reception at 5 p.m. on January 26 followed by a keynote dinner and small business awards presentation.
The expo will begin at 8 a.m. on January 27. Several entrepreneurs will also pitch their ideas in the TVBA Business Plan Competition, with the winner receiving $5,000.
TVBA provides entrepreneurship training, business development assistance, and networking opportunities to military veterans and their families.
